Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") before using the breaditorial mobile application (the "App" or "Service") operated by breaditorial ("we", "us", "our").

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The Service

breaditorial is a mobile app that helps you bake bread at home. It may include:

• Recipe lists and ingredient calculator (e.g. scaling by tin size and hydration).
• Step-by-step baking guidance (mixing, kneading, proving, shaping, baking).
• Timers and optional reminder notifications for proving and baking.
• Ingredient and technique information, problem-solving tips, and similar content.
• A personal bake journal ("The Proof") where you can store notes and photos locally on your device.

We may add, change, or remove features over time. Your use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent they apply.

2. Not medical or professional advice

The App does not provide medical, nutritional, or professional advice. Any information about ingredients, methods, or baking is for general education and convenience only. It is not a substitute for advice from a doctor, dietitian, or other qualified professional. You are responsible for your own health and dietary choices. Reliance on any content in the App is at your own risk.

3. Kitchen safety and liability

Baking involves heat, sharp tools, and ingredients that can cause injury or allergic reactions. You agree that:

• You will follow safe kitchen practices and use the App's recipes and instructions responsibly.
• We are not liable for any illness, allergic reaction, or injury (including burns or cuts) resulting from your use of the App, your baking, or your use of the recipes or instructions.
• You are responsible for checking ingredients for allergens and suitability for your own diet and health.

4. Timers and reminders

Timers and reminder notifications in the App are for convenience only. They may be delayed, not fire, or be affected by device settings (e.g. low power mode, notification permissions). Do not rely on them for critical timing (e.g. where exact timing affects safety). We are not liable for any loss or harm resulting from your use of or reliance on the timers or reminders.

5. Your use of the App

You agree to use the App only in line with these Terms and with applicable laws. You may not reverse-engineer, resell, or misuse the App or its content in a way that harms us or others.

6. Intellectual property

The App and its content (including text, images, layout, and design) are owned by breaditorial or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may use the App for personal, non-commercial use only. You do not acquire any ownership or licence beyond that.

7. Third-party links and services

The App or our website may link to third-party sites or services (e.g. Expo, app stores). We do not control those sites or services and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or terms. Your use of them is at your own risk.

8. "As is" and limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties (express or implied). We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability in connection with the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the past 12 months (or zero if the App is free).

9. Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for any reason (including breach of these Terms). On termination, your right to use the App stops. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will continue to apply.

10. Changes to the Terms

We may change these Terms from time to time. The current version will be at https://breaditorial.app/terms. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the App.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom (or, if you are a consumer, the courts of your place of residence where allowed by law).
