breaditorial ("we", "us") provides the breaditorial mobile application (the "App"). This policy describes how we handle information when you use the App.
The App is a baking guide and recipe tool. We do not require you to create an account. Most of the content you create in the App, including your bake journal entries, photos, voice notes, and personal preferences, is stored only on your device. Some specific features described below send certain data to third-party services in order to work. This policy explains clearly what is sent, to whom, and why.
The following are stored locally on your device and are not sent to us:
This data stays on your device and can be removed by uninstalling the App or by clearing the App's data.
If you sign in to iCloud on your device and leave iCloud backup enabled in Settings, the App will copy your bake journal, saved recipes, photos, voice notes, and preferences to your own iCloud Documents container. This data lives in your iCloud account, not on our servers. We cannot read it. Apple's handling of iCloud is governed by Apple's privacy policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.
You can turn iCloud backup off at any time in Settings.
The App includes AI-powered features (Baker's Story and Smart Diagnosis) that generate personalised content. When you use these features, your request is sent through a Cloudflare Worker proxy that we operate, which forwards the request to Anthropic (the provider of the Claude AI model used by the App).
The Cloudflare Worker exists for one reason: to keep our Anthropic API key out of the App. The Worker forwards your request to Anthropic and does not store its contents.
To verify that the request is coming from a paid subscriber, an anonymous RevenueCat user identifier is sent with each request. This identifier is generated by RevenueCat for your installation of the App. It does not contain your name, email, or any other personally identifiable information.
The data sent with each feature:
This data is sent solely to generate your personalised response. We do not store it on our own servers. Anthropic's handling of data is governed by their privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.
If you do not wish to send any data to Anthropic, simply do not use the AI-powered features. All other features of the App work entirely on-device or via your own iCloud.
The App sends anonymous usage events to Mixpanel to help us understand which features are used and where the App can be improved. Each event is tagged with a random identifier (a UUID generated on your device on first launch) and includes only the name of the action taken (for example, "Bake Started" or "Calculator Used") and occasionally a short label (for example, which baking guide was opened).
Analytics events never include:
The random identifier cannot be tied back to you. We do not combine analytics data with any other source of personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. Mixpanel's privacy policy is available at mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
If the App encounters an error or crash, anonymised technical details (such as the error message, where in the code it happened, your device model, and OS version) are sent to Sentry to help us fix bugs. Crash reports do not include your name, email, contents of your bake journal, photos, voice notes, or AI conversations.
Sentry's privacy policy is available at sentry.io/privacy.
If you purchase a subscription or lifetime plan, the transaction is processed by Apple via the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and entitlements within the App. RevenueCat receives a non-identifiable purchase receipt and subscription status from Apple to determine whether your account has an active premium entitlement. We do not receive or store your payment card details. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
The App can schedule local notifications (for example, when a prove or baking timer ends). These are created and delivered by your device's operating system. We do not receive or store the content of these notifications.
We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information about you. We do not track you across other apps or websites for advertising. The anonymous usage data described in Section 5 and the crash reports described in Section 6 cannot be tied back to who you are.
The App is built with and uses services from:
We do not control these parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.
The App does not use cookies. Any cookie-like behaviour would come from third-party code (for example, in a web view or store page), not from our core App logic.
The App is not aimed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we do not collect personal data about you directly, we do not hold user data to delete. If you believe a child has used the App and left data on a device, that data is only on that device and can be removed by uninstalling the App or clearing its data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be at breaditorial.app/privacy. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
