Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 1 March, 2026
breaditorial ("we", "us") provides the breaditorial mobile application (the "App"). This policy describes how we handle information when you use the App.
1. Overview
The App is a baking guide and recipe tool. We do not require you to create an account or send us your personal data. Most data you create stays only on your device.
2. Information we do not collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit your name, email, or other personally identifiable information to our servers. We do not run analytics or tracking that identifies you.
3. Information stored only on your device
The following are stored locally on your device and are not sent to us:
- Bake journal / The Proof: Notes, photos, and entries you add.
- Progress: Which step of the baking flow you last used (e.g. to show "Continue to First Prove").
- Timer reminders: Your choice of reminder time and that a reminder is active, so we can show the countdown and send a local notification when the timer ends.
This data stays on your device and can be removed by uninstalling the App or clearing the App's data.
4. Local notifications
The App can schedule local notifications (e.g. when a prove or baking timer ends). These are created and delivered by your device's operating system. We do not receive or store the content of these notifications.
5. Third-party services
The App is built with and may use services from:
- Expo – app framework and build tooling: Expo Privacy
- Apple App Store / Google Play – download and updates; their privacy policies apply to those stores.
We do not control these parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.
6. Log data and errors
If the App encounters an error, your device or the stores (e.g. Apple, Google) may collect technical data (such as device type, OS version, or crash logs). We do not use this to identify you. How that data is used is governed by the device and store policies.
7. Cookies
The App does not use cookies. Any cookie-like behaviour would come from third-party code (e.g. in a web view or store page), not from our core App logic.
8. Children's privacy
The App is not aimed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Because we do not collect personal data from the App, we do not have user data to delete; if you believe a child has used the App and left data on a device, that data is only on that device and can be removed by uninstalling the App or clearing its data.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be at https://breaditorial.app/privacy. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
10. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or the App, contact us at: breaditorial@gmail.com
